Solar
Information Program Webpage for the determination of
heliographic coordinates
Webseite zur Bestimmung heliografischer Koordinaten
Actual Information about the Sun
In order to be able to use this web page, Java must be installed on
your computer: http://www.java.com/de/download/
First enter your geographical coordinates (Ruesselsheim / Germany is
preset). On a click of the mouse you may select the current computer
time or another
time and another date. You will receive all important observation data
of the sun. B0 is the heliographic Latitude of the centre of disc, P is
the
inclination of the solar axis (positive towards east). Coordinates on
the sun - for instance the position of an observed sunspot - you will
get, prompted
by mouse click, in arcseconds and in heliographic latitude and
longitude. Coordinate conversions (X,Y <-> Lat. /Long.)
are also possible by using the
numeric field. In addition the velocity component of the differential
rotation with respect to the observer (vls) is indicated. z = vls / c
multiplied by
the wavelength of a spectral line results in its Doppler shift due to
the differential rotation.
Please mind the time zone: UT = Universal Time, CET = Central European
Time, CEST = Central European Summer Time.
beobachteten Sonnenflecks –
erhalten Sie per Mausklick in Bogensekunden sowie heliografischer
Breite und Länge. Koordinatenumrechnungen (X,Y
differentiellen Rotation.
Bitte beachten Sie die Zeitzone: UT = Weltzeit, CET =
Mitteleuropäische Zeit, CEST = Mitteleuropäische
Sommerzeit.
